Robert Tavzel brings decades of experience from both military service and the defense industry to ETC. Mr. Tavzel has supported numerous weapons programs and worked closely with Department of Defense stakeholders throughout his career. A former Marine Corps Infantry and Acquisition Officer, Mr. Tavzel led and supported defense initiatives ranging from startup ventures to top-tier prime contractors. His expertise spans weapons systems, program management, and business development, with notable achievements including leading the successful capture and execution of the SMAW MOD 2 program for the U.S. Marine Corps.

At ETC, Mr. Tavzel will focus on expanding strategic partnerships and strengthening support for defense customers. He is particularly excited by ETC’s expertise in warhead design, energetic effects, propulsion, composition chemistry, advanced manufacturing, and AI/ML technologies, as well as the organization’s mission-driven commitment to supporting the warfighter.
