High school and undergraduate students dive into exciting, hands-on Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges that test their abilities in coding, networking, cryptography, web security, and digital forensics. Working individually or in teams, participants solve real-world cybersecurity puzzles, uncover hidden vulnerabilities, and “capture flags” to earn points in a fast-paced, gamified environment.

These CTF events build essential skills in teamwork, creativity, strategic thinking, and ethical hacking while introducing students to the dynamic field of cybersecurity and AI. Designed to be accessible yet challenging, the competitions welcome participants of all experience levels—from beginners exploring cybersecurity for the first time to more advanced students sharpening their competitive edge.

As part of ETC’s broader Cyber SyncED and cybersecurity education initiatives, these CTFs advance our mission to deliver sustainable, high-quality STEM programs that inspire innovation, strengthen talent pipelines, and prepare the next generation for rewarding careers in science, technology, and national defense.
