Dr. Doherty is involved in the Energetics Global Awareness initiative and has worked in the Machine Discovery and Invention projects at ETC. Ruth brings a wide range of experience in the international arena, including NATO and The Technical Cooperation Program (TTCP). Ruth has researched explosives formulation and crystallography of energetics. She is an internationally recognized expert in energetic materials, with more than 30 years of experience in the research and development of energetics. Dr. Doherty has a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Maryland. She is currently an Associate Editor of the journal Propellants, Explosives, and Pyrotechnics.
